Note: This was originally part of the Civic Center Parks Project website that served as the central community engagement tool throughout the life of the project, from selection of landscape architects James Corner Field Operations in April 2010 to opening day in October 2013.

The Civic Center Parks Project was a collaborative effort of the City of Santa Monica's Community & Cultural Services and Public Works Department. The City project team worked closed with the design/build team led by W.E. O'Neil Construction and James Corner Field Operations.

Design Development Workshop - Saturday, February 26

February 3, 2011

Please join the Recreation and Parks Commission for a review of the latest park designs at the next Community Workshop on Saturday, February 26, starting at 1 pm in the East Wing of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.   James Corner will present Design Development plans and renderings which were revised based on feedback received from community members, Commissions and the City Council.   After the presentation, participate in break-out groups and contribute your comments and ideas to the process.  Be sure to Shape Your Parks and Make Your Mark by attending this important Community Workshop.  

Bike and car parking available in the lot adjacent to the Civic Auditorium. Walk or use Big Blue Bus Lines 1,2,3,4,5,7,8, 9 or 10. To request a disability-related accommodation, call at least three business days before the workshop.
